Notes:

Anesthesia is a bass solo written and performed by the late Cliff Burton. I don't know of a single time when this song
was performed live exactly as it appears on the record. True to the song's spirit, Cliff always had fun with it and it
was never played the same way twice.
Cliff Burton was killed in a tragic bus accident on September 27th, 1986. The song was not played or even jammed
on for the longest time for good reason.
On December 5th, 2011 during the first of four nights of 30th anniversary celebration, while waiting on a
technical problem, someone shouted to Rob "Bass solo, take one!" and he obliged and played from the beginning
to the drum entrance. Cliff's father Ray Burton was in attendance.
